background

I am a freelance designer and illustrator living and working in Portland, Maine. I have a degree in illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology and have worked in the design field for over twelve years: as an Instructional Design Assistant at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf; as principal in a small, award-winning animation and design studio; as a Web Production Specialist with national retailer L.L. Bean; and currently, as an independent contractor and freelancer.

I provide branding, design, illustration, and other creative services to clients of all shapes and sizes throughout New England, both independently and through a partnership with socially responsible marketing agency Tugboat Creative. I have had the opportunity to work directly with a wide variety of clients including The Freaky Bean Coffee Company, WMPG Community Radio, R.J.Grondin and Sons Construction, national health advocacy group Oral Health America, The Ferry Beach Ecology School, and the non-profit land trust Portland Trails. I've also served as an independent contractor for local agencies such as Lapchick Creative and Rinck Advertising. I have great relationships with other freelancers who I frequently call upon when a project requires a copywriter, a photographer, or a specialized web programmer.
